Course Overview
Our training course is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills and knowledge required to operate a tractor. On completion of this training course, participants who attain this unit of competency will be competent to operate a tractor.
This comprehensive two-day course includes both theory and practical components and can be completed at our rural site or at yours.
Course Outline:
Conducting prestart and start up checks prior to operating and shutdown procedures
Plan and prepare for tractor operations
Operate in line with established requirements to complete work activity
Drive and operate tractor, and modify the operating technique to meet changing work conditions
Select, remove and fit attachments
Relocate the Tractor
Conduct house keeping
Parking and securing tractor
Course Inclusions
Training will be conducted by one of our experienced trainer / assessors who have resource industry currency and supported by a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant.
2 days of training. Up to 6 trainees per course. A typical course runs from 07:30-15:30
Be at least 16 years of age
For our site, we supply all the equipment for the course.
If we come to you, it’s the student’s responsibility to have a front-end loader and site to operate the tractor on.
